NaNoWriMo, Goals & Giveaway

NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). It's a lofty goal. 50,000 words in 30 days, or 1,667 words a day. The good news is I've got a head start on the story and am already on Chapter 3 of the novel that drove me out of bed at 3 a.m. one night a few weeks ago demanding to be written. Tuesday Nov. 1 is when I'll begin tracking my word count at zero, even though I've already got nearly 10K written on this story, so it will be a true NaNoWriMo. UNSEEN LOVE is a historical romance geared to Love Inspired, and in honor of that, here on the blog we'll have a Love Inspired Giveaway every week during NaNoWriMo starting today.

This week's drawing will be for a $10 Amazon or Barnes & Noble Gift-Certificate, which you on your honor promise to spend on a Love Inspired Historical of your choice. Just leave me a comment with an e-mail address telling me about one of your goals for November, even if its not NaNoWriMo.
A bonus entry to the first person to correctly post what my NaNoWriMo project was last year.

*If blogger gets in a sword fight with you and won't let you leave your comment, which I still can't figure out why that's happening, just send it to me to copy and paste at nancykimball at hotmail dot com.

Hahahaha. Congrats on commiting to another NaNoWriMo, and on already getting at that word count!

One of my goals for November? Hmm. To get through my two classes with decent grades? But even more importantly to me-- to really carve out a writing time so I can finish my WIP, and to stop procastinating! I don't why I do-- I love the story!

Was your NaNoWriMo project last year Chasing the Lion? That was before we met, so it's a guess!

Blessings on NaNoWriMo. Try to drop me a line now and then to let me know you're alive. ; )

Thanks Whitney, yes, you need to finish that WIP. I'll be cheering with you when you write those two beautiful words, THE END.
And you are correct, and snag the double entry for the gift card.
CHASING THE LION was my NaNoWriMo project last year. Hard to believe, seeing how fast that manuscript is climbing the mountain to publication. Fingers crossed for a final in ACFW The Rattler. I'll be keeping up with the Sunday blog posts (So you'll know I'm alive!), update on word count, and give away some more Love Inspired.

Whitney, this is going to come as a big shock, but you won! =)
I hope you don't feel cheated of having your piece of index card pulled from the special plaid bag, hehe.
Gift card is on its way!
